“The group exhibition Demain l’Océan ?, organized by Monaco’s Department of Cultural Affairs, pays tribute to the ocean with the aim of forging connections between art and the climate emergency, and raising public awareness of the threats it faces due to global warming.”
Presented as part of the Year of the Sea initiative, the exhibition brings together 71 works by 34 artists from across five continents, including Lionel Estève and Philippe Ramette with Exploration rationnelle des fonds sous-marins : la sieste (2006), offering diverse perspectives on the ocean as both a source of wonder and a symbol of environmental fragility.
Coinciding with major international events such as the Blue Economy and Finance Forum and the UN Ocean Conference (UNOC 3), Demain l’Océan ? positions Monaco as a key cultural and ecological voice in the global response to climate change.
