LISTENING SESSION BY EMILIE DING & ALIZÉE LENOX
Following their residency at Villa Bernasconi, Emilie Ding & Alizée Lenox present a multi-channel listening session featuring a new site-specific work.
Emilie Ding & Alizée Lenox, both artists and musicians, have been collaborating since 2023. They work with sound and its materiality, sculpting and arranging samples, field recordings, and instruments into multichannel compositions.
Often conceived in situ, their installations explore the acoustics embedded within the architectural body of a space, creating complex and refined acousmatic compositions of great range and sensitivity.
The resulting experience evokes strong visual impressions that transcend the mere sound source, embodying resonance and vibratory qualities.
They have presented sound pieces and site-specific installations at the Korsonor Festival, Geneva (2023), at the Abbey Church of Bellelay (2024), and at Neun Kelche, Berlin, in collaboration with Display (2025).
