On the occasion of Geneva Art Week and the final weekend of the exhibition Ressources Sensibles, Xippas Gallery and Villa du Parc are pleased to present a conversation between Olaf Holzapfel and Julie Portier, Director of Villa du Parc.
Presented in Geneva as part of the third edition of the (re)connecting.earth (03) Biennale, Olaf Holzapfel’s Schwarm (Swarm) was produced for the Biennale under the artistic direction of Bernard Vienat, who also served as guest curator of the exhibition Ressources Sensibles. With the support of Xippas Gallery, the work will subsequently be installed in the park of Villa du Parc, where it will remain on view for several months.
Olaf Holzapfel and Julie Portier will discuss the conception and relocation of the work, as well as the artist’s use of natural materials, traditional craftsmanship, landscape, and ecology.
The conversation will begin at 11:00 am and will be followed by a complimentary drink at 12:00 pm.
