30.06.26
For its second edition, the François Masson Sculpture Prize, presented by the Louis Le Masson and François Masson Foundation – Académie des beaux-arts, has been awarded to Philippe Ramette.
The jury, which met on 16 April 2026, was composed of the members and corresponding members of the Sculpture Section of the Académie des beaux-arts: Jean Anguera, Eva Jospin, Jean-Michel Othoniel, Anne Poirier, Brigitte Terziev, Françoise Docquiert, Catherine Francblin, and Patrick Poirier.
This biennial prize recognizes a sculptor whose artistic practice is expressed through a work permanently installed in a landscape or a space accessible to the public. It is awarded in alternation with the Louis Le Masson Prize for Architectural Drawing and carries a prize of 50,000 Euros.
Created in 2023 by Bernard Le Masson in memory of his ancestors, Louis Le Masson (1743–1829), an architect and engineer, and François Masson (1745–1807), a sculptor, the “Louis Le Masson and François Masson – Académie des beaux-arts” Foundation aims to support artistic creation and promote access to culture and the arts.
