On the occasion of Yvan Salomone’s solo exhibition at the Xippas Gallery, the Jeu de Paume is organizing a special screening of his film 42 Days (2020). This artist’s film is the result of a double transatlantic crossing, which began in Le Havre in November 2019, aboard the Marfret Guyane, a container ship with a capacity of 1,700 containers and a deadweight tonnage of 22,000. The 42-day voyage included 11 stopovers, during which the artist shared the daily lives of the 22 crew members.

The screening will be followed by a discussion with the artist.
