The installation from here to ear by Céleste Boursier-Mougenot is included in the collective exhibiton Habiter le Monde which inaugurates the Château Aubenas in the South France.
Creating its own ecosystem, the emblematic installation from here to ear, first conceived by Céleste Boursier-Mougenot in the early ’90s, invites visitors into a space where birds, through their natural movements, generate a live musical piece by perching on the strings of electric guitars connected to amplifiers. Entering this environment allows to witness the unfolding of the music, influenced by visitors’ presence. The generation of these auditory forms, described by the artist as living and closely tied to the environment, offers a listening experience that both visually and audibly reveals the processes of creation of sound and music.
