xippas galerie

Active in the Greek artistic scene since the 1980s, Renos Xippas inaugurated in October 2003 a gallery space of 500 sq. m. (5.000 sq. ft.). Located in Psiri, an up and coming neighborhood of downtown Athens, the gallery offers its artists the opportunity to present their work in the thriving young artistic scene of Greece. The spaces, reviewed by architect Eleni Kostika, are characteristic or 1960s Greek modernist architecture.

Since the opening of Xippas Gallery, almost every exhibition has been accompanied by the publication of an illustrated catalogue with an essay by an art historian, a critic, a curator or a museum director.
